Hawaiian Style "Poke" Edamame

This poke style edamame is packed flavor and is the perfect appetizer or snack. The best part is it’s ready in less than 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen edamame
  • 2 tablespoons Aloha Shoyu
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil pure
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chili flakes optional
  • Hawaiian salt to taste or sea salt

Instructions

  • Cook the edamame according to the directions on the package.
    1 lb frozen edamame
  • Meanwhile, add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix together.
    2 tablespoons Aloha Shoyu, 4-6 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, 1/4 teaspoon dried chili flakes, Hawaiian salt to taste
  • Drain the edamame and add it to the bowl. Toss until the edamame is evenly coated. Serve warm, or chill in the refrigerator and serve cold. Enjoy!

Notes

If you live on the west coast of the United States, you can probably find Aloha Shoyu at your local supermarket. Otherwise, you can buy it directly from Aloha Shoyu’s website, or here on Amazon.
If you must substitute it in this (or any) recipe, you can try using Kikkoman soy sauce and watering it down slightly.
