Preheat the oven to 350º F. Line a 9″ x 13″ baking sheet with parchment paper or silpat.
Mix all of the dry ingredients (cocoa, flour, baking soda and salt) together in a small bowl. Set it aside.
In a medium bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients together.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until it comes together. Don’t over mix.
Pour the batter onto the baking sheet and spread it out evenly to cover the entire pan. I found that a small offset spatula works best.
Top the batter with candy (nonpareils, Snickers, peanut butter cups, etc.) and bake in the oven for 15-17 minutes. Turn the pan once during baking and keep a close eye on it as the corners can burn quickly.
Let the brittle cool, then remove it from the baking sheet by picking up the parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board and use a knife to cut the brownie brittle into pieces.
If you want to add decorative candy such as candy corn or candy eyeballs, mix together 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and a few drops of water to form a paste. Use the paste as glue to attach the candies. Enjoy!!
