Fun American flag facts for kids!
- There are 50 stars on the flag, representing the 50 states.
- There are 13 stripes on the flag, representing the 13 original colonies.
- The colors of the flag are symbolic! Red represents bravery, blue represents purity and blue represents loyalty.
How do you make the American flag kid’s snack?
Ingredients:
- graham crackers
- cream cheese, room temperature
- powdered sugar
- blueberries
- raspberries
Step 1: Add the cream cheese to a small bowl, then add the powdered sugar to taste. Mix together until fully combined. Set it aside.
Step 2: Time to cut the fruit! Slice the blueberries in half. Then, cut the raspberries in half and then slice each half into small slivers. It’s okay if they fall apart a little.
Step 3: Spread the cream cheese onto each graham cracker. Be sure to cover the entire cracker.
Step 4: Time to decorate! Place 9 blueberry halves in the upper left corner to create a square. Then, use the slivers of raspberries to create the red stripes. Enjoy!
