This honey granola is sweet, crunchy, and delicious! It’s a simple, basic recipe…so you can easily customize it by adding your favorite mix-ins.
Granola is one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. I usually eat it with Greek yogurt and some berries. It’s quick and easy to put together, yet somehow so satisfying.
I love crunchy granola clusters, and this recipe doesn’t disappoint! It’s sweet, crunchy, and full of delicious honey flavor. This granola is perfect in its simplicity, but don’t be afraid to customize it by adding in your favorite mix-ins!
What can you add to granola?
- dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, dates, etc.)
- nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
- seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, etc.)
- shredded coconut

There are so many different uses for granola. Here are some of my favorites:

Step 2: Add the brown sugar, honey, vanilla, melted butter and salt to a large bowl and mix it together.

Step 4: Pour the granola onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, and spread it out evenly. Bake for 20-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Watch it closely at about 20 minutes to make sure it doesn’t burn. Remove it from the oven when it is crunchy and golden brown, and let it cool completely before serving. Enjoy!

Notes
- Be sure to use old fashioned oats, not quick oats.
- Make sure to use parchment paper to prevent the granola from sticking to the pan. I forgot to use it while documenting this recipe and it wasn’t pretty!
- If you want granola clusters, use a small sheet pan so the granola is baked in a thick layer. Once the granola is cooled, break up large chunks of granola to create the clusters.
- If you don’t want granola clusters, use a large sheet pan and spread the granola out in a thin layer.
- If you want to add dried fruit, seeds or coconut to the granola, mix it in once the granola has cooled.
- Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month.
