Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year, is just around the corner and I’ve got a fun and festive craft to share with you! This year happens to be the year of the dragon, so this Chinese Dragon Kids Craft is the perfect way to celebrate. I’ve created a free printable to make this craft easy for kids of all ages…so let’s get started!

Let’s Make the Chinese Dragon Kids Craft

You’ll need:

Step 1: Color the dragon, then cut it out.

Step 2: Cut a toilet paper tube in half. Tape construction paper around one half of the tube to cover it, as shown below.

Step 3: Glue the tube to the dragon’s face, and then glue the dragon’s mouth to the top of the tube, as pictured below. Let it dry.

Step 4: Cut strips of construction paper. Then, use the side of the scissors to curl the paper.

Step 5: Glue the strips of paper to the back of the dragon’s mouth and let it dry. Then, tape a wooden dowel or popsicle stick to the back of the dragon’s head.
