Frankenstein Toast for Halloween

Halloween food is generally loaded with sugar. But it doesn’t have to be! This Frankenstein Toast is as healthy as it is fun!

How do you make Frankenstein Toast for Halloween?

Frankenstein Toast for Halloween

Ingredients:

  • whole wheat toast
  • avocado
  • lime juice
  • salt and pepper
  • hard boiled egg
  • olives
  • nori

Step 1: Mash the avocado in a bowl. To help the avocado keep it’s green color longer, add a splash of lime juice. Season it with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2: Spread the avocado evenly over the toast.

Step 3: Construct Frankenstein using the hard boiled egg (for eyes and neck bones), nori (for hair and facial features) and two small pieces of avocado (for ears).

Notes

  • You can use any nori (dried seaweed sheets) that you’d like, but I like to use Korean nori because I think it tastes the best. My kids LOVE it!
 
  • To save time, you can use store bought guacamole instead of avocados.
