For me, the best part of fall is seeing all the colorful leaves! Nothing compares to the vibrant reds, yellows and oranges all around. What better way to celebrate the autumn season than with this fun broccoli stamping fall tree craft? I’ve included a free printable to make it even easier!
Why Broccoli Stamping Is Good for Young Kids
- Fine Motor Skills: Stamping involves coordination and control. Holding the broccoli stamp will help to improve fine motor skills.
- Creativity: Stamping encourages creativity by allowing kids to experiment with colors, patterns, and shapes.
- Sensory Exploration: The different textures of the broccoli will provide a sensory-rich experience.
Let’s Start Broccoli Stamping!
You’ll need:
- Free printable templates, printed on white cardstock
- Paint (yellow, orange and red)
- Broccoli florets
- Paper plate
Step 1: Put a small amount of each paint color on a paper plate. Dip a piece of broccoli into the paint and stamp it onto the tree’s branches to create it’s leaves.
Step 2: Encourage your child to experiment with dipping/mixing into different colors and using different size/shaped broccoli. Also, ask them if they notice a difference if they use a lot of paint vs a little paint.
