How do you make the Halloween bat craft?
You will need:
- 1 toilet paper roll
- 1 small coffee filter
- googly eyes
- glue
- black paint
- paint brush
- washable markers
- scissors
- spray bottle
Step 1: Paint the toilet paper roll with black paint. Let it dry.
Step 2: Color a design on the coffee filter using at least 2 different colors. Then, spray water on it so the ink runs. Let it dry.
Step 3: Once the coffee filter is dry, fold it in eighths (make 4 folds). Then using a pair of scissors, cut the top so it forms a point. Unfold the coffee filter until it’s in the shape of a semi circle.
Step 4: Once the toilet paper roll has dried, push the top edge down using two thumbs. Repeat on the opposite side, folding it over the first edge. This will form the bat’s ears.
Step 5: Glue the coffee filter to the back of the toilet paper roll. Then glue the eyes on the front. Let it dry. Ta-Da!
I hope your kids have as much fun making this as my son did!
